I have always been deeply passionate about childcare. I began my professional journey by completing my NNEB qualification and then pursued a Degree in Early Childhood Studies to further enhance my knowledge and skills. Over the past 27 years of experience in the childcare sector, I have developed a particular interest in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), which inspired me to complete a Level 4 Diploma in SEND.
Throughout my career, I have taken great pride in observing and supporting children as they grow and develop, guiding them along their individual learning paths, fostering their independence, and helping to shape their character. In my role as a Manager, I find great fulfilment in mentoring and supporting my team, encouraging the development of their skills and knowledge across various areas of the childcare sector. I am eager to contribute to and be part of a collaborative team where we can continue to grow, support one another, and achieve shared success.
I have over 10 years of experience working in various administrative roles and transitioned into the nursery sector four years ago. During this time, I have developed experience using a range of nursery management software and systems. My role involves managing a variety of administrative responsibilities while also supporting activities and engaging with the children. I find this aspect of my role particularly rewarding, as I enjoy being part of the children’s learning and development and watching them grow and progress. I also value the importance of working in partnership with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure that children receive consistent and appropriate support. I contribute to effective communication and information sharing, helping to build positive relationships and ensure that the individual needs of each child are understood and supported.
